As you can see, the site is still pretty empty, there is a lot of data which needs to be added to make this site workable. Fortunately, I have put together most of the requisite structure so that I will only need to ammend the database to get information added to the site, unfortunately there are certain features I really believe that this site ought to have which are not implemented yet. There are also other features which are going to be necessary for the site to expand. I hope to have the following available in the coming weeks:
- Re-write the color syntax highlighter to be more database dependant.
- An improved menu system, especially for the class definitions section.
- AJAX controlled functionality.
- An "About the site" section -- a way to credit everyone I borrowed, copied, and stole from as well as a way to demonstrate some unique features of the site.
- An "About the author" section.
- The ability for viewers to create comments
And there will have to be a good deal more examples and class structures provided.
For more distant goals:
- Parallel versions of the site, one in Perl and one in JSP (and perhaps more)
- A tutorials section.
- Live examples of compiled code.
- ftp support.
Well, I have my work cut out for me, but so it goes.
